Wildlands CPR’s 2010 Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest Monitoring Report

From June through September Wildlands CPR conducted ten trips totaling 22 field days to monitor off-road vehicle (ORV) use within the Pioneer Mountains on the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. We documented evidence of motorized use and associated natural resource damage as well as the presence of signs and closure devices. Findings show impacts from authorized use, evidence of little or no use on open roads or trails, locations of non-system routes, and compliance with road and trail protections.

Along with the monitoring summary, we included a Google Earth file that displays waypoints with the associated photos for each trip. If you do not have Google Earth it can be downloaded at the following site: http://www.google.com/earth/download/ge/agree.html
