Wildlands CPR's approach to controlling off-road vehicle abuse:

Wildlands CPR seeks to limit off-road vehicle use by shaping national policy and by empowering grassroots conservationists across the country. We advocate specific policy changes intended to restrict use to legally designated routes (that are specifically posted as open for use) and eliminate the use of off-road vehicles within roadless and other ecologically sensitive areas. We seek to require that designated routes occur only on roads and trails where the agency can demonstrate that off-road vehicles will not cause adverse environmental and wildlife impacts. We further advocate that off-road vehicle use shall be prohibited unless adequate monitoring and enforcement are fully funded and implemented.

As a resource for other grassroots conservationists, Wildlands CPR provides tools, information, training seminars, information, and other resources. We help to link and coordinate networks of activists and conservationists, provide strategic consultations, and promote scientific research on the environmental impacts of motorized recreation.
