Planning Pathways: A Citizen's Guide to Controlling Off-Road Vehicle Use on Public Lands

$5.00 member /$8.00 non-member

"Planning Pathways" explains how conservationists can effectively influence recreation and travel planning on public lands. The guide presents goals, objectives, and strategies to help you ensure that an agency's travel plan protects land, water, wildlife, and the recreation of other visitors. Travel plans result in agency maps of trails (for foot & hoof travel) as well as roads and routes (for motorized recreation and travel). Good travel plans limit off-road vehicles to the carrying capacity of the area and provide hikers, skiers, hunters, anglers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers with quiet and safe trails and areas.
