Science Background

Wildlands CPR’s continues to be a national clearinghouse of information on the issues of wildland roads, road reclamation, and off-road vehicle impacts. The goal of the Science Program is to provide scientific information on the impacts of roads and off-road vehicles to activists, scientists, land managers, and decision makers to improve the management of our public wildlands. Additionally, the Science Program is working with universities and managers to increase the amount of research on road reclamation – a field of study that is just beginning to be developed.
