Off-Road Vehicle Reform
Background
The pollution and habitat degradation associated with off-road vehicles (ORVs) has made control of their use necessary for the protection of wild places. Wildlands CPR fights for these protections in a variety of ways. For more information on off-road vehicle issues, click here.
Science
Technological advances have given ORVs more power and control, allowing even beginners to access remote wildlands. For more information on the science around ORV impacts, click here.
Advocacy
Wildlands CPR seeks to limit off-road vehicle abuse by shaping national policy and by empowering grassroots conservationists across the country. We advocate specific policy changes intended to restrict use to legally designated routes and eliminate the use of off-road vehicles within roadless and other ecologically sensitive areas. As a resource for other grassroots conservationists, Wildlands CPR also provides advocacy tools, information, and other resources. To access our searchable database of ORV related resources, click here.
On the Ground
Wildlands CPR works to prevent off-road vehicle abuse on the ground, with an emphasis in Montana and Oregon. We also have other active projects from Florida to California, and places in between.
