Pressuring State Parks to take action, SLO County
supervisors unanimously voted to send a letter seeking help from the
department to reduce dust generated at the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular
Rec Area.
Montana News:
Parks board endorses plan to monitor OHV use (CO)

The Colorado State Parks Board last week endorsed a plan
that will send more law enforcement officers into Colorado's backcountry
this summer to keep tabs on reckless OHV drivers.

Traffic takes unusual toll on city's wolves (AK)

At least 6 wolves were killed by cars along a roughly
half-mile stretch of the Glenn Hwy outside of Anchorage last winter
& fall, with wolf experts saying they've never seen that kind of
carnage in a single season anywhere in Alaska-much less on the outskirts
of the state's biggest city.
