Snowmobile Court Challenge Brings Divisive Articles
The Montana Standard printed an article over the weekend with the typical headline of "Environmentalists Sue..." which can be read in full here. The short piece did little to explain the lawsuit or reasons for filing, but it did misname Montanans for Quiet Recreation as an environmental organization which is obviously incorrect since the group's mission is to promote muscle-powered recreation. Additionally, the reporter incorrectly named Friends of the Bitterroot as based in Missoula, when they are in fact located in Hamilton.
Another article, from the Missoula Independent, incorrectly states that the lawsuit seeks to halt snowmobiling while the lawsuit moves forward. However, even with this mistake, it is much better than others we have seen, such as this one from the Island Park News.
