ORV Groups Dismiss Lawsuit over Upper Tellico OHV Area

Blue Ribbon Coalition and other motorized advocacy groups dismissed a lawsuit they had filed challenging a Forest Service decision to close damaged areas in the Upper Tellico OHV area, just in the nick of time to save face.  The Forest Service had already asked the court to dismiss the case as groundless, and environmental groups were seeking to intervene in the case to add their support to the government.

In agreeing to let BRC withdraw the case, the Forest Service said it would continue with its already on-going NEPA evaluation of the future of off road vehicle use in the Tellico area.   You can check out the BRC's version of events in their press release, sent to members last week.
